Just about every Startup at some point and especially if you do not have a designer, is going to need icons to help spruce up those websites. Before Iconfinder I was working as a web designer and front-end developer, next to studying computer science and business administration. We both studied at Copenhagen business school.

I started a web design company, and ended up going to college in Florida, but kept on running the company on the side. When I got to LA after I graduated from college in 2005, I pursued it full time, and we quickly grew that company to over $5M in revenues a year, without any kind of funding.

In 2005 he was graduated and took a job in South Carolina working for technology company while he started his own web design company on the side. By 2005 I had moved back to the US and we started hiring US employees (The first two employees we hired had both grown up in India! Felipe grew up in Brazil. More red tape.
