Shopzilla was then sold, and I worked for a couple of years at the acquirer, Scripps, until 2007. So, in September of 2007, I got back into it, and we got a group of people going on a new startup, DotSpots. It was a very ambitious idea, and we spent a good time around it. That was between 2010 and 2012.

In 2007, Sarah joined Current TV. in 2007 (and) 2008 (and I realized) there is all this online video being consumed and it''s not being consumed on Current. During her tenure, "A director came into our offices and pitched us a web-series idea. these guys, even in 2007, had tens of millions of views. That video is.

There are too many deals to look at, too many seed funds or angels asking you to look at deals and weekly “demo days” with manicured and monocultural presentations crafted by experienced story tellers to help even the mundane idea sound like it will.

Steve Jillings has a long track record of running successful startups in Southern California, ranging from such companies as FrontBridge Technologies (sold to Microsoft in 2005 for over $200M) and Vantage Media (acquired in 2007). 2011 was an incredibly huge year for us, and 2012 will be the same way.

We formed the company in 2007, came out with our first product in late 2008, and began selling in earnest in 2009. Dave Terry: We originally were self funded until 2012, when we took a very low investment. That's led to continuous growth over the last several years, and a spike more recently.
