I first met Andrew Stalbow , the founder & CEO of Seriously in August of 2013. On August 23rd, 2013 I had an email intro from my good friend and trusted source Jeff Berman who only sends me stuff when it is somebody he respects (ie a strong filter vs. those who send casual intros). He hit me from two very trusted sources.

I had one of the biggest mental breakthroughs about what I want to do differently at GRP Partners in 2013. Do you find yourself too much in email mode? I regularly shut down my email so that I don’t get pop-up alerts when I’m working. I was at the Lobby Conference a few weeks ago in Mexico. I close my Twitter tab.

In 2013 it is expected to be around $35 billion. Compare the state of play in 2013 versus 15 years ago. 2013 = $25 billion of which Apples stage is more than $8 billion at > 90% gross margin. Many don’t return my emails on time. By 2009 had reduced to around $15 billion in capital from LPs. hours / day.

Alex and James founded EdgeCast, which sold to Verizon for more than $350M in 2013. We launched nine weeks ago, with great attention and press, and we're now getting an onslaught of inbound interest. Alex is CEO and Segil is President of the new company, which is focused on access control and management. All that work has paid off.
