Wilcon Buys Freedom Dark Fiber Networks

Los Angeles-based fiber optic and data center infrastructure provider Wilcon announced today that it has acquired dark fiber provider Freedom Dark Fiber Networks. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Freedom Dark Fiber Networks is also based in Southern California, and is a provider of dark fiber in the region.

Xirrus Acquired By Riverbed

Thousand Oaks-based wireless networking equipment maker Xirrus has been acquired by Riverbed , to help bolster its SD WAN efforts, the two said on Wednesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. The acquisition comes just over 12 years after Xirrus was founded by Dirk Gates in 2005.
