Now, we're doing a push with a social agency, and are just starting to pull the trigger on advertising. We have our secret sauce in there, and we're figuring out if all of that is patent-able or not, and are jumping through the hoops to do all of that. Was it difficult to connect all of this together on the technical side?
PhotoPoll is our first app to push live, and now we're working on our second app, AdTile, which is a mobile advertising solution for applications and mobile software. We have a couple of different ideas in the pipeline, and have filed patents in our unique way of showing advertising on a very small screen.
It was a series of different technologies we had ot develop and apply for patents on, and now that we have it, we're working on a prototype. It was so much more advanced than back in 1960's, and we started selling posters in 3D for advertising. I was doing that until 1995.
We've created a patent pending technology called Autobuild. It does the work for them, and uses the data to make intelligent recommendations specifically for that person's advertiser. In fact, one of our goals with this product is a proposal builder, which provides proposals to advertisers and publishers directly.

That's on the cause marketing side of things. You need a third profile.
We haven't done any paid marketing or advertising, but more and more companies are finding us, and our business has started developing. My background has always been inventing products, and have several patents, and I have a passion for bringing new things to life, making partnerships, like the one with Sumitomo.
I helped to grow that to a major player in ecommerce and online advertising, which is used to find and buy chips use in your iPhone, in your computer, and everything else today. After three years of that, I decided I needed to go back to the entrepreneurial world, and joined up with another young company, which was SupplyFrame in Pasadena.

We've been innovating over the last fifteen months, and have to patents pending on the technology right now. You've been in more traditional entertainment firms--as an executive in a big studio--why jump to a startup? Eric Frankel: It was "be careful what you wish for".
UrRadio also gives you the technology to power your own radio station, and also includes some patented ways to monetize your channel that are not found elsewhere. unlike existing competitors, we are not playing advertisements or charging for mobile access. What''s the business model behind this?

The other thing we do, is were very transparent about sharing data with them, like user data and advertising data. For the first three years, it was all about research and development, building IP and patents and so forth. Someone, for instance, who goes to Amazon or puts their channel on Youtube wont get any of that data.

At GRP, we don't care about patents--they're nice to have, but not required--but we're looking for defensible IP in an area with an interesting, and big, idea. That's what we're looking for--really big ideas, plus I'd echo everything Richard said. Defensibility is also big--we're not interested in the me-too's without some unique IP.
