Alume Biosciences Gets $5.5M

La Jolla-based biotechnology startup Alume Biosciences announced that it has raised $5.5M in a Series A funding round, to go towards its products. Alume says it will use the new funding for a Phase 1/2 study of ALM-488, an intravenously administered peptide-dye conjugate for fluorescence highlighting of nerves during surgery.

San Diego-based Biolinq , a startup developing wireless-enabled, biosensor patches aimed at continually monitoring blood glucose levels, has raised $10M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. Biolinq is led by CEO Jared Tangney.
