Last Saturday, I was a panelist at the CalTech - SocialNetworks event. It is almost universal that there are opportunities around socialnetworking. Generally these are oriented around: Niches & Content Oriented Networks You see all kinds of niche networks coming up. Outdoors, faith-based, etc.

We have universities like CalTech, UCLA, USC and many more. LA was a leader in lead generation (LowerMyBills), comparison shopping (PriceGrabber, Shopzilla), socialnetworking (MySpace … I know, I know – Facebook won – but it was still a big business).
In the age of socialnetworking, everyone has hundreds--even thousands--of connections online. But, to a business person, those connections and network are only good as the real life relationships they create. As we talk to them, and learn how they manage their network, they say two things.
