Boulder Electric Vehicles , a startup developing electric powered has shut down its production facility in Chatsworth, as the company looks for a buyer. The DailY News reports that the family laid off around 50 people at the Chatsworth plant as a result of the shutdown, as the company has "mothballed" its operations.

Chatsworth-based Capstone Turbine , a manufacturer of microturbine systems for the power generation market, announced this morning that the firm has laid off 22 positions at the firm. The firm said the two cuts were made to lower the company's future operating expenses, and will save it approximately $3.7M in annual operating savings.
