The firm, which pulls pricing data from publishers and ad networks using its service, said that it is seeing ad pricing jumps as big as 270% among music sites. The two said that LeisureLink's independent vacation and hotel properties will be available via Groupize, giving users of that service access to over 1,000 independent vacation rentals, timeshares, villas, condo hotels and boutique resorts throughout the U.S. and Canada. Rubicon said that the new funding round came from News Corporation, Clearstone Venture Partners, IDG Ventures Asia, Mayfield Fund, NBC Universal's Peacock Equity Fund and Jarl Mohn. The new funding brings Rubicon's total funding to $60M. As part of the announcement, Rubicon said it will have over $100M in revenues in 2010.
Pasadena-based LeisureLink has signed on a loyalty and incentive company, Destination Rewards, as part of its travel services, the firm said earlier this week. Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project , which operates an online advertising optimization service, is announcing this morning that the firm has raised $13M more in a combination of equity and debt. Rubicon Project operates a service which helps online publishers optimize which advertising networks to use on their web sites, to improve their CPMs.
Rubicon, which is backed by Clearstone Ventures, Mayfield, and IDG Ventures, publishes its market report every quarter, examining the online advertising industry. Rubicon Project develops automated software and services which optimizes the CPM paid to online advertisers, by choosing the best online advertising to run on publisher web sites.
