I've had several Startup CTO Consulting sessions recently where it became apparent that the Founder needed help with the business and product as much or more than the technology. Then we discussed how they could go about finding this startup business advisor. Do you have any suggestions for how to find a good mentor?
In what has been an unprecedented surge in interest in helping entrepreneurs, there have been more than a half dozen accelerators--most patterned after the successful YCombinator and TechStars programs elsewhere in the country--established in SouthernCalifornia in the last month or so. Howard Marks: Yes.
SouthernCalifornia has had its share of new startup accelerators launch in the last few months, however, few people here have actually experienced an accelerator firsthand. We have some great mentors now. It's a casual setupit's not an incubator, it's not an accelerator, and we're not charging anyone for space.
