We caution all readers to review the source code of each test when interpreting the plaintext numbers. We actually built that about a year and a half ago, and are bringing that back due to overwhelming demand. But, with the economy turning south in 2008, lots of those customers went out of business. In the meantime, Groupon came along, and our media customers started to lose advertising. We were crowd sourcing artists and design.
I tapped my friends at big tech companies (Salesforce, Google, Oracle). And they have access to some of the most talented technology entrepreneurs so this is a worthy goal for them. They do this because they have amazing skills at writing business plans. Of course I went through normal other channels of deal flow. I hustled.
In fact, they are probably in such a hurry to give you money that they don’t want you to waste time writing anything down and passing it along to new investors. Most professional investors, even if they like your story, and were properly introduced by a friend, will ask for a business plan at the duediligence stage.
