Santa Barbara-based energy storage technology developer Ice Energy announced today that it is opening up a new, research and development center in Riverside, with plans to immediately hire 12 at the location. Ice Energy said the move comes due to grants and incentives from Riverside, as well as the University of California, Riverside.

UberEATS , the on-demand food delivery service run by Uber, and McDonald's of Southern California said that UberEATS has launched delivery service for more than 375 McDonald's restaurants in Los Angeles County, Orange County and Riverside County.
