According to the WSJ, Zoom Focus Eyewear , Van Nuys-based developer of eyeglasses which can replace the need for progressive or bi-focal glasses, was awarded the Silver Winner in its award. Panda Security , which is based in Spain but has its U.S. Panasonic develops in-flight entertainment systems.

Van Nuys-based Audiolife (www.audiolife.com), a new startup focused on providing e-commerce tools to musicians, recently raised $1M in angel funding. It wasn't through the Tech Coast Angels, although most of the investors are members of the Tech Coast Angels or CVAN, the Coachella Valley Angel Network.
