Encino-based sampling and online research firm uSamp announced this morning that it has raised $15M in a new round of funding. According to uSamp, the Series D round came from OpenView Venture Partners and DuPont Capital Management, and will go towards accelerating the development of the company''s Instant.ly in funding.

Phorus Debuts New Wireless Home Audio Speaker

Encino-based Phorus , the developer of wireless home audio speaker technology which is now owned by DTS, said it has launched a new product called the Phorus PS5. DTS has mostly been using Phorus as a demonstration platform for its DTS Play-Fi technology, which it licenses to many other speaker and audio manufacturers.
