Turmoil over at Agoura Hills-based videogame developer THQ apparently isn't stopping the company from inking new deals. THQ said Friday that it has linked in a strategic agreement with Innovative Leisure , a new digital development studio. The new studio will focus on mobile, social and downloadable games.

Agoura Hills-based THQ , the videogame maker, said late Tuesday that it is chopping two studios and a team, as part of a "strategic realignment" of its operations. Agoura Hills-based THQ and El Segundo-based toy maker Mattel said this morning that the two are in a new, multi-year alliance focused on developing and publishing video games based on Mattel's toys. The two said they are already in development on "multiple games", with the first titles to appear in the next holiday season.

Los Angeles-based Bccthis , a startup developing software which connects Microsoft Outlook, Twitter, and BlackBerry smart phones, announced this morning that it has raised $500,000 in seed funding and launched a beta of its service.
