The firm said that Brian Wong, President and CEO of Enervate, a developer of rechargeable energy storage technology, has joined the company's board. Wong also has served at D2Audio, Primarion, and Xerox.

Monterey Park-based Kotura , the developer of silicon photonics and optical interconnection technology, has been acquired by Mellanox , the companies announced Wednesday. The deal was worth $82M in cash.

Monterey Park-based Kotura , a developer of silicon photonics components, said this week that it has added a distrbutor covering Europe. The firm said it has signed AMS Technologies, a firm specializing in optoelectronics, thermal management and power electronics, as part of a pan-European distribution agreement.

Monterey Park-based Kotura , a developer of photonic components, disclosed this morning that the firm has been selected by tunable lasers firm Santur as a partner. Kotura said that Santur has partnered with the firm on a 100 Gb/s platform, and will be using Kotura's 10-channel optical multiplexer chips.
