At the time we viewed Amazon’s offering, EC2 as too nascent. First, how did I handle things like unexpected surges in traffic to my site (let’s say after a major press release) and then the subsequent flattening of traffic as the crowd subsided? We all know about IMDB. Same with university data. Healthcare data.
