Just the kind of person I like to meet. :) But I was a bit surprised when he emphasized how hard it had been for them to find a web developer in Los Angeles. My flippant comment was, “If you do a Google search for Los Angeles web developer, you’ll find a LOT of people and firms.” And he’s right there’s a big difference.

They are generally the senior most person responsible for custom software development, database design, database administration, web development, etc. Yes, there are some events around particular technologies. Actually, there are some CFO events. But not really CTO events.

And in any event, whatever overhead Docker incurs is uniformly applicable as all test implementations are required to be Dockered. We also want the ever-increasing diversity of options for web development to be represented. It's lost in the noise. Truly, what we are doing with this project is a perfect fit for Docker.

The bad news is that Finding Developers is Tough Here in Los Angeles and even people willing to pay have a hard time finding Web Development in Los Angeles. Tech Events / Meetups - In Los Angeles, There are lots of Networking Events in Los Angeles and Southern California that are techie oriented. Go to user groups.

Evening events in Orange County require about 2 hours of round trip drive time. It has to be a pretty good event for it to be worth attending. Some events, like a recent Tech Coast Angel event at UCLA are really worth it. But some events you dont get quality attendees and then its a drag to drive that far.
