I invested in LA-based Gogii , one of the fastest growing, most exciting mobile social networking companies you’ve never heard of and maker of a product called textPlus. But who exactly is Gogii, what is textPlus and why are they so exciting if I’ve never heard of them? My excitement really starts with the Gogii team!
Los Angeles-based GOGII , the venture backed provider of mobile social messaging services, has snagged MySpace exec Chandra Hill as its new Vice President of Monetization and Publishing. GOGII develops textPlus, a mobile social messaging application for the iPhone. Hill was most recently VP of Mobile Monetization at MySpace.
Scott Lahman is co-founder of Los Angeles-based GOGII (www.gogii.com), the developer of group text messaging application textPlus. We spoke with Scott about GOGII and textPlus, the shifting mobile market, and also what lessons he's applied to his new startup. What's the story behind GOGII?

We have some really key people involved, including Robin Richards, who has taken five companies to 100M plus exits, including Tickets.com, MP3.COM, COM, and Vivendi Universal.
