By the mid-nineties we had the World Wide Web, which gave us a standard way to publish web pages using HTML. The one major thing that Twitter doesn’t seem to have figured out quite yet is that platform thing or at least how to encourage a bunch of 3rd-party developers to build meaningful add-on products.
