Voivoda Labs--headed by Val Babajov, the former CEO of WebMessenger--said it is looking to vet around 15 startups via a pitch event later this month, to help secure investment for the winner. Voivoda says that Babajov has ties to the Band of Angels, Tech Coast Angels, Pasadena Angels, Keiretsu Forum Angel networks.
