Last week, we posted the results of benchmarking several web application development and frameworks. Third place is held by plain Java Servlets running on Caucho''s Resin Servlet container. Only Cake PHP requires more than 100 milliseconds. As before, Raw PHP is also very strong in this test. with APC, PHP-FPM, nginx.

In Web Framework Benchmarks , there are some very interesting and surprising numbers around the performance of various web frameworks. And I hope you are not running on Cake PHP when you see these numbers. In looking at these numbers, seeing Cake PHP at 500x slower, Ruby-Rails and Django at 50x slower really surprised me.
