The problem is you don't yet have product/market fit, and until you do, you don't really know what to build. These companies are very early-stage and definitely have not shown product/market fit. They need to determine product/market fit. In other words, they come in asking for help with sourcing and hiring. Far from it.

What is it about the content delivery network market which has enabled Santa Monica-based EdgeCast to go from startup to over $100M in revenues in only a few, short years? We have 35 POPs all over the world, in every major market, and we have more than 6,000 customers today. Instead, they outsource to an expert like Edegcast.

Jim Franklin: Web developers are good at building web applications. However, every web application needs and email component. It starts when you register for a web application, the app send you a confirmation email, which is transactional email. We think developers can use this to grow their business.

Also, the Web Team will be responsible for the overall design of company websites and applications. It is not uncommon to outsource some of these responsibilities to companies that specialize in doing these things.
