Disney Online Acquires Sites From Kaboose

North Hollywood-based Disney Online , the online publishing arm of Disney Interactive Media Group, announced this morning that it has acquired a number of assets from Canadian firm Kaboose, in a deal worth approximately $18.4M. According to Disney Online, the new web properties complement its existing kids and family sites.

Disney Online Launches Tweener Site

North Hollywood-based Disney Online said Friday that it has rolled out a new site, DisneyXD , targeted at the "tween" market. The Disney unit said that the online and mobile site would target kids and tween boys with action-based games, full length video, music, sports, and other similar themes.
