What I want to answer with this post (long though it may be) is: Why did Web 2.0 asymmetry, real-time, curated RSS / link-sharing].
I believe that many socialnetworks confused this idea. I believe it is the new form of RSS – the place people go to find out what is happening in the latest news. I covered that topic in my Twitter is RSS post. Socialnetworks continue to drive conversion of marketers. Early evidence is good.
I recently wrote a post about how to get access to people at conferences and how to connect with people on socialnetworks. I got to thinking more broadly about socialnetworks and the real-time web. Facebook has much more value to me as a networking tool. On LinkedIn we rarely communicate with each other.

We currently have data on 3900 counties, 1900 cities, including emails, web forms, web sites, telephones, faxes, you name it.
