Santa Barbara-based Yardi , the developer of property management software, has launched a new property marketing service, which includes search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and enhanced online listings on Yardi's RENTCafe service.
San Diego-based e-commerce agency CPC Strategy has been acquired by digital marketing agency Elite SEM , according to private equity backer Mountaingate Capital. The acquisition is the third for Elite SEM since Mountaingate Capital acquired the comapny in 2017. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced.
According to the company, which provides search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and other related online marketing services, it had revenue growth of 37% in 2009, and hired more than 40 additional employees. The firm said the growth came as a result of increasing demand for the firm's online marketing services.

We grew our SEM and improved our ROI. When I first came on board, we were not very sophisticated with our search engine marketing. We partnered with a big management platform, integrated in our back end, and scaled out our keywords exponentially. Most importantly, we had only been marketing our international hotel inventory to the U.S.
The sixth is marketing analytics, including SEM/SEO, collecting customer names, emails -- we use ExactTarget for emails, and Omniture for Analytics. The fifth is product photography--we actually have an in-house photo studio, including doing things like Photoshop and color correction.
None of the small businesses, these spas, have the expertise or the budget to actually understand lead generation, SEM or SEO, or even know how to manage retention, referrals, expertise, or how to customize or streamline their processes. We bat about 800 in terms of people buying off on the idea, who understand the bigger reach we have on the Internet, and the more SEO/SEM we do, which delivers business to them that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
