Stickam Shuts Down

Stickam , the live video streaming service, announced on its web site Thursday that it would be shutting down its services, effective 11:59PM PST. Stickam had been founded in 2005. Stickam began as an offshoot of Japanese firm Advanced Video Communications (AVC). Reason for the shutdown was not disclosed.

Stickam Launches New Service

Los Angeles-based streaming media site Stickam.com announced today that it has rolled out a new service which allows its artists to create streaming media sites using their own domain names. Stickam said the service, a new level of its PayPerLive service, allows artists to create their own community powered by Stickam's back end technology.
